Mother nature has been busy this month. My wren friend from my last post returned from maternity leave. I’ve been busy knitting wooly beak warmers. Also, it’s everything’s coming up pink! The rose campions are my absolute favorite! This was the first bloom to burst this season. Happy day:)
Rainbows from night terror
A horrible terror (which I won’t describe) vividly woke me at 4:45 this morning. After a warm shower I still couldn’t shake it, so I started the coffee early and was looking through frosty kitchen windows and realized I had an opportunity to catch the sunrise. (The only other times that’s happened I think I’ve been in labor). The beauty was worth it, and I made a little wren frien’ to boot. Enjoy the day and may the sunrise banish your nightmares. Like Florence sings “it’s always darkest before the dawn.”
Fiber Folks-Knitting4Peace
I’ve been working on a new project-knitting Peace Pals for the Knitting4Peace group. I found information on the internet while searching for new outlets for my projects. Its a wonderful group with projects that serve a real purpose and are easy and portable. These are a few of the things I’ve done. The mini couple is from Knitting Mochimochi by Anna Hrachovec. They’re peaceful too! Please check out and consider contributing to Knitting4Peace at knitting4peace.org 🙂,
